When studying you are completely sure that your knowledge and ability to analyze will only benefit the society you will be researching in future.
When starting to find the society to research, you realize that perhaps they don't even want to be studied or being analyzed in any way as it would disturb the normal rhythm of daily life or find issues they don't want to hear about.
